Covid-19 Practices and Policies

It is imperative that we maintain a high level of communication. The better informed I am, the better I can address issues, mitigate exposure, and avoid required quarantines.

  • Parents are required to notify me and keep their child home if their child is sick or experiencing any of the following- fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, nasal congestion, runny nose, excessive sneezing, sore throat, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or loss of smell/taste.

  • Parents are required to notify me and keep their child home if anyone in your household is sick and experiencing any of the following- fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, nasal congestion, runny nose, excessive sneezing, sore throat, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or loss of smell/taste.

  • Parents are required to notify me immediately if their child or anyone in their household has COVID-19.

  • Parents are required to notify me immediately if their child or anyone in the household has close contact with someone who has COVID-19. Close contact is defined as a cumulative 15 minutes over a 24 hour period.

  • Parents are required to notify me immediately if their child or anyone in the household is being tested for COVID-19 and to notify me of the results asap.

  • Failure to notify me of any of the above is grounds for immediate termination.

  • The CDC has updated quarantine guidelines. Fully vaccinated people DO NOT have to quarantine if exposed to Covid unless they are showing symptoms. My family and I have been fully vaccinated so if any of us get exposed, I do not have to quarantine unless we start to show symptoms. This is SUCH good news!! HOWEVER, if your child gets exposed, they will be required to quarantine and cannot come to daycare. The new 5 day quarantine guidelines DO NOT apply to young children who are unable to wear a mask properly. They are still required to quarantine for 10 days. That means it is even more important than ever to follow our illness policy and keep your child home when sick so they don’t potentially expose other the other children in my care.

  • If we have a positive case in the daycare, we will close for a period of 2 days for deep cleaning.  During this time, I will also contact Southeast Idaho Health Department and all guidelines they set forth will be followed.

  • A Health Screening Checklist is being added to the sign in sheet. By signing the sign in sheet, you are confirming each day that your child is not experiencing any of the listed symptoms and hasn’t had any of the list symptoms in the last 24 hours. Please be sure to inform anyone who drops off your child of this policy.

  • DROP OFF/PICK UP: We will be allowing only 1 drop off/pick up at a time. If you arrive at the same time as another parent, please remain OUTSIDE until that parent comes out and maintain physical distance from each other. Masks will not be required during pick up/drop off as long as everyone complies with this policy, however you are more than welcome to wear one if you choose. Please be sure to inform anyone who drops off or picks up your child of this policy.

  • Tuition payments will continue as normal unless your child is required to stay home for more than 5 business days. At that time, tuition will be reduced by half for the period that your child is required to stay home. *Depending on your payment schedule, this may be in the form of a credit that will be applied to the following month.
